The search for survivors of the building collapse in Surfside, Florida is ongoing. My hope is that more of the missing will be found alive. As I watched a video showing the collapse as it happened, my thoughts were that it must have been empty for a while and decay caused by weather conditions brought it down. I was shocked to learn that it was the opposite of what I thought and couldn’t understand how something like that happened. As often is the case with me, I turn to Astrology to help me understand.

To put this chart in perspective, I looked at charts of other building collapses:

  • August 3, 1973, Grand Central Hotel, Manhattan, New York;
  • December 31. 2018, 6:02 AM, Magnitogorsk, Russia;
  • November 9, 2017, 2:26 PM, Izhevsk, Russia.

The Grand Central Hotel, built in 1870, collapsed due to structural problems. The collapses in Izhevsk and Magnitogorsk Russia were deemed to be caused by gas explosions.

Comparing the charts, I think it is likely the collapse was caused by an explosion of gas somewhere in the building. It may or may not have been intentional (Venus opposite Pluto, both at critical degrees in the 4th and 10th houses). A thorough investigation of this incident may take a few years. In the meantime, I hope that proper steps will be taken to insure that other residences in Surfside are not facing disasters that can be avoided.

Update March 8, 2024

Federal Investigators released an update today. “Dozens of hypotheses” still remain about the cause of the collapse. “Once the probe is complete, the National Institute of Standards and Technology plans to release a multi-volume final report on its findings as well as an online presentation tailored to the public by fall 2025, it said.” – CNN story by Elizabeth Wolfe
